Not much photographic proof of progress, mainly chasing sources of parts or services.
I managed to do compression testing and valve clearance checks on 2 engines. Next step will be stripdown and measurement to check degree of wear. Compression tests suggest worn rings/liners at the very least and as both engines were smoking this reinforces this thought.
I did manage to build up the 76 Jota to the rolling chassis stage.

As the weather took a turn for the better I also made time to fettle my own bike and stripped and ultrasonic cleaned the carbs. Modern fuel really is worse than leaded fuel and soon plays havoc with carb internals. More volatile leading to gumming up and more aggressive, attacking brassware leading to green powdery deposits mean the carbs soon need attention if the bike is not run for a few weeks or months. I also believe Mikuni carbs suffer more than Dellortos in this respect. My Corsa wearing Dellortos was barely troubled by carb issues whereas my current bike wearing Mikunis has suffered more in the same timeframe and with exactly the same make and grade of fuel.
In the end I managed to get out on it for a brief ride, first of the year, before the weather turned wet again.
First test for the new angle handlebars and Beston grips. Thumbs upon both counts.

I have some big news coming up but will announce it in due course. Watch this space.
