I spent some time wrapping up the blue bike project. Connected up the loom, bled brakes and clutch, filled with oil, fitted battery. Everything works as it should, engine sounds sweet. Just a few items to snag off but for now it goes to the back of the queue. It's hard to get things done these days, completely understandable considering what the world is going through. Here are some photos of my blue bike project (Project Phoenix) as it rises from the dead. The engine was built up from parts sourced far and wide. The previous engine was written off when a conrod broke through the cases and the metal swarf killed the rest of the engine. All built now and installed in the frame. All I need now is time to complete the build and get it road ready.
In these difficult times it's hard to keep occupied and motivated. I have added some more photos in the gallery of restorations that I have completed. Maybe it inspires you to get out into the cave and fettle yours?
Here's one that is waiting for lockdown to finish so I can run it in for the owner. |
