Anyway, I had an alternator cover in really poor condition. Someone had drilled and tapped 2 holes in it and fitted 2 short bolts, plus there were many deep scratches and dents in it.
First of all I had the holes, dents and scratches filled with laser welding and then I had them polished by my chromer.
The end result is not 100% but it is a definite improvement and allows the part to be used once more.
If you have any damaged aluminium parts I am happy to help have them repaired and restored. Engine casings are becoming rare and expensive to replace.
