Happy New Year.
So, the barrels are away now to be re-bored and honed. They were found to be different sizes, outside the wear limits, tapered and oval. Looks like someone was way over-zealous with the honing machine. In addition to this there was still the pitting present. Likely have to be taken out to 76.0mm to remove all the damage. The barrels will be ready in a few weeks, as will the restored head, so early February I should get this one finished.
I also sold a crank to a guy in Spain so I have been busy today starting to construct a robust crate that will support the crank during transit. Hope to get it away mid-week.
Note: this is a duff crank only being used to get the measurements right. The actual crank is still in a set of crankcases.
