Weather here today is like a monsoon. This after a few days of very pleasant mid-20s.
Luckily I finished the Mirage yesterday and took it for a brief test ride to make sure all was correct wit the new ignition system under load. The new Redax ignition/alternator system is not cheap but it is a quality piece of kit and transforms engine characteristics by giving a very even tickover (no hunting) and also a smooth power delivery (no abrupt step in the advance curve). Of course, the new high power alternator and modern regulator/rectifier will also boost usability, but that is not as obvious as ignition advance on a brief ride out.
Also finished off restoration of a pair of Marzocchi Stradas.
New paint, new chrome (including hard chromed damper rods), polished parts, new seal kit and stickers, plus new 10wt oil. They really do come up like new. For the price of restoration you could buy a half decent modern pair of shocks, but I maintain that the Stradas are still good enough for real world riding. Good enough then, good enough now (once brought up to as-new). Contact me if you would like me to restore yours.

No working on restoring a pair of Cerianis for a 750. When finished they will look and act like new too.
