More Dax stuff.
The parcels are starting to arrive, just small stuff so far.
So far it has had:
- switch set (ignition, steering lock and helmet holder
- footrest rubbers
- tyres and tubes
Waiting for headlamp rim, speedo rubber and some special screws. Being a Honda there are a LOT of special nuts, bolts and washers in this bike.
The list of parts ready for re-plating, chroming and polishing is growing daily. Should get it sent off early next week.
Also, the new reproduction seat didn't fit properly as the seat locking system was very different. I ended up unbolting a couple of locking pins and I have had to cut off a welded-on plate from the old seat. Today I cut it off by drilling out the spot welds then stripped off the old paint and washed it. It will sit overnight in an acid bath to remove all the old rust before I paint it up. Once it's welded back on I'll finish off the welded areas with acid etch primer and paint.
