After a few days break it was time today to get back to sorting Laverdas.
I stripped a set of carburettors down, cleaned them in the parts washer and then gave them a few hours in the ultrasonic bath.
In 2 of them there was a dry green powder due to fuel reaction with the brass parts. The third one had a dark green oily residue, again due to stale fuel reacting with the brass, but it had blocked all the jets and airways.
I think they came up very well, considering how bad they were.
Now waiting on new brassware and seal kits to arrive before I can finish rebuilding them.
