So, travels all but a distant memory, time to get back to reality.
Started with a deep clean of the cave. Lots of sawdust as I had rushed to make a wooden crate for a crank I was sending to Spain. Then a bit of a re-organisation and edging my way back into the groove.
I also fitted a new front mudguard to my own bike as it has a deeper valance and so should be better at keeping the mud off the engine and exhaust as the dirt track to the main (single track) road is permanently muddy.
I also started getting my head round fitting the new pistons to the re-bored barrels. I will need to gap the rings before fitting, and then it will go together easily. The restored head is due back mid-February so I can't finish it off until then.
More bikes will soon be arriving for engine work too so I will need to be inventive with space.
Here are the new pistons, works of art.
